 I am going to tell you about Adolf Hitler’s early years, how he became associated with the Nazi’s, and how he came into power.

 Wanted to become an artist and be accepted into the Academy of Arts  Didn’t get accepted into the academy in Vienna so he searched for a job in the civil services  Submitted a petition to enlist in Bavarian army

 Influenced by two political movements  Drew ideology from Schonerer, but his tactics and strategy from Lueger  1921: Nazi Party was reorganized with Hitler as chairman  Free Corps

 Beer Hall Putsch failed miserably  Hitler and other leaders charged with high treason and put into jail  Wrote volume 1 of Mein Kampf (My Struggle)

 Hitler was a very powerful and influencing speaker and writer  Was able to manipulate millions of people
