PowerPoint Tutorial  Click File  Click Save As  You will be put into a directory automatically  NAME this presentation as follows: Connect your last name to the letters PPT (For example mine would be SmithPPT and the President’s would be BushPPT)  Scroll down to the next slide

Select the Background Underneath Design Templates Click FORMAT Click SLIDE DESIGN Pick a design (will appear on the right margin) you like the best!  Click FILE and SAVE  Scroll down to the next slide

Slide Transitions Click SLIDE SHOW Click SLIDE TRANSITIONS Pick a transition effect (will appear on the right margin) you think looks interesting! You’ll find many choices Underneath: “Apply to selected slides”  Click FILE and SAVE  Scroll down to the next slide

Modify Transitions Don’t forget to set the: –Speed (Slow, Medium or Fast ) –Sound (Hint: this can be annoying during a professional presentation)  Click FILE and SAVE  Scroll down to the next slide

Modify Transitions Toward the bottom right of your screen –Do you want this effect on ALL SLIDES in your presentation? –If so then click the button on the bottom right that says APPLY TO ALL SLIDES, and it looks like this:  Click FILE and SAVE  Scroll down to the next slide

Modify Transitions Underneath “Advance Slide” –Ask yourself: Do I want the computer to wait until I click the mouse to go to the next slide? Then check the box that says ON MOUSE CLICK –Ask yourself: Do I want the computer to go to the next slide AUTOMATICALLY (without my clicking anything? ? Then check the box that says AUTOMATICALLY AFTER

Modify Transitions If you do want it AUTOMATICALLY set how many seconds you want to wait for it to happen. (HINT: 00:00 makes it immediate)  Click FILE and SAVE  Scroll down to the next slide
