((Motivating Question)) 1- What is the meaning of festival? 2- Do you know the Silk Road Festival? 3- What can you see and hear in the Silk Road Festival?

Dear Students: Read the following text then answer the question:

The Silk Road Festival The silk road festival began in You can go to the festival every year, in September. The festival lasts for four days. It is very interesting There are a lot of different things to see and hear. There is music from a lot of the countries on the Silk Road. You can see paintings, too

The Silk Road The Silk Road is very old and very long. It joined Asia in the east to Syria and Europe in the west.

People used the road to visit different countries. They sold clothes, food, vases and medicines to people in different countries. It could take three years to travel the Silk Road from east to west.

Comprehension Question 1-When did the Silk Road Festival begin? 2- When is the festival? 3- How long does the festival last? 4- What can you see at the festival? 5- What did people use the Silk Road for? 6- How long could it take to travel along the Silk Road?
