“ Every olive leaf dripped … light ” - Nikos Kazantzakis.

Extra virgin Cretan olive oil, product of ο rganic farming. High quality, limited production.

Cretanthos is extra virgin olive oil, a product of organic farming. It is produced at the village of Angeliana in Mylopotamos, Rethymnon, Crete, an area characterized as PDO-PGI (Protected Designation of Origin – Protected Geographical Indication), from non irrigated olive trees of the leading variety of “Koroneiki”. The trees are fertilized by manure and are never sprayed with pesticides. The olives are harvested before ripening and are processed with the cold pressed method resulting in olive oil of a golden green colour and a rich fruity taste. This is our wealth. This is our legacy.

The philosophy of Cretanthos is reflected in the triptych ”high quality, small quantities, control and guaranteed products”. Each year, we bring into the market only those quantities for which we can offer a quality guarantee. When they are sold out, we await patiently the next season.

Our family Olive Groves in Northern Mylopotamos, Crete

Our olive groves have never been sprayed for any reason. For fertilizer, we use only manure, ash and organic composte.
