All weapons will be cleared at the clearing barrel at the base of the tower when entering and exiting the firing line. All weapons will remain on safe until instructed by the tower to fire. Once weapons have been cleared and rodded they will be carried pointing up and down range. Once at the firing point take all commands from the tower. There will be no running on the range When directed to move to the ammo point all Soldiers will wear hearing protection.

Range safety brief cont. The candy-striped markers are your left and right limits. Do not fire outside of these limits. While on the zero range, only safeties will move to the targets. All Soldiers will stand up and move behind the firing line. When moving from the ammo point to the firing line all Soldiers will walk in a single file Upon the command “Cease Fire” all Soldiers will echo the command and cease firing. All weapons will be cleared before coming on/off the range. If an UXO is found do not touch, kick or pick it up; report it immediately to the range OIC, RSO or NCOIC. Every Soldier is a safety officer; if you see an unsafe act, take action! All Soldiers will be checked for Brass and Ammo prior to departing the range.
