Four Branches of Emotional Intelligence  Understanding emotions consists of figuring out how you or another person is feeling, and understanding how they will act.  If your friend gets on the bus with a mean face on and they yell at you instead of saying hi. What might your friend be feeling?  Managing emotions consists of regulating or adjusting your emotions to different situations, and responding appropriately  If your upset about getting a bad grade on your exam, should you yell at your teacher about it?
