BECOMING A REPORTER Tips and Questions

REPORTING QUESTIONS  What plant of animal produced this ingredient?  Where was the ingredient produced?  Can it be produced in several areas? If so, which area is the highest producer or from which area do we receive the product?  How much of the ingredient is produced?  Is the ingredient a seed, root, stem, product or by-product?  What materials are needed to grow the ingredient?  What harvesting and processing techniques are used?  How important is the ingredient, economically, to the country that produces it?

PRESENTATION TIPS  Know your topic.  Know your audience.  Stay brief and to the point.  Talk in a clear, strong voice. Do not yell, but do not whisper.  Maintain good eye contact.  Stand straight and still.  If you have visual aids (posters, pictures, etc.) be sure that they are clear, and that everyone in the room can see them and that they contain no misspelled words.
