Print out your chosen article, and then answer the ten questions on a piece of notebook paper. Be sure that your responses are in complete sentences. You will turn in your responses stapled to your article once you finish! If you have any questions – just ask!

Using Text Comments: Answer the questions at the appropriate spots in your text! Be sure you number your comments to show the answer. 1. What purpose does the process analysis serve? 2. Where does the process seem confusing? Where have steps been left out? If it doesn’t seem confusing – just note that. 3. Does the introduction specify the process to be describe? 4. Are the ingredients or materials the reader needs to know identified? 5. Identify any time signals (after, before, next, et cetera) that help to clarify the sequence within the directions. 6. Are there any sections that are too mechanicals or too technical? 7. What is the most crucial step in the sequence? How do you know this? 8. Identify any technical or specialized terms that are used. 9. How easy was the process to follow? 10. If you were to prepare to follow this process, what questions would you have after reading through the directions?
