Project Goals / Purpose ◦ Provide a clear statement of the goals or purpose of the project. ◦ Be clear about your final product / deliverable. Review of the Literature ◦ What theoretical and/or pedagogical framework will guide your project? What similar projects have been done? What have you learned from reading relevant research?

Parts of a Project Proposal Presentation Methods ◦ How will you complete your project? What is your timeline? How will you evaluate your success? Think through each step from start to finish and present this here. Be sure to include time for evaluation and review by faculty (at least one month in advance of your final presentation). Proposed Final Products Assumptions, Limits and Exclusions

Considerations for your Methods Section Define your end product. What exactly are you producing, or what question will you answer? Establish the goals of your project. This may involve more lit review, conversations with stakeholders, and reflection on your own goals Establish theoretical or pedagogical frameworks, as appropriate Inventory your resources. What resources will you draw on in order to make this happen?

Considerations for your Methods Section Determine the component parts (and exclusions) Implement or pilot test parts as feasible Evaluate the success of your work – solicit feedback from stakeholders, peers, faculty Establish a timeline and milestones

Considerations for your Analysis Section Determine how you will synthesize and analyze your data or the results of the project work that you have done This may include statistical analysis, evaluation, qualitative analysis or something else as appropriate

Timeline Working backwards… ◦ Final project is due one week before the end of the semester. ◦ Final presentation is due the week before Thanksgiving. ◦ You will need to turn in a draft to me or your advisor one month before your presentation ◦ Sooooo… have most of your project done by the middle of October!
