Kendriya Vidyalaya, Narangi A profile of many a mile

Humble beginning, noble growth Established in 1971, with a strength of just around 400 Has now a strength of 1800(and counting….) Catering to the needs of students in various activities aiming at an all round development.

Location The right ambience is always a must for any institution to be a step ahead of a Shanthinikethan. Kendriya Vidyalaya, Narangi has the serenity, surrounded by lush green mountains in the outskirts of Guwahati

The mentors The school is rich with 61 learned teachers, with a good blend of youth and experience. The senior most at the age of 59 and the youngest at 24. A library with 9,000 + books. 3 Computer labs with all requisite hardware and software for the support of teachers and students

Rich traditions and modern approach The school aims at imbibing the rich Indian traditions and blend it with the ever changing modernity. The students are trained to have muscles of iron and nerves of steel and grow with a sense of patriotism.

What other than books and computers?? Though the school cannot boast of wonderful sports facilities, it uses the maximum of what is available to make the students strong in body as well. Though the school cannot boast of a great auditorium or a big hall, within the existing infrastructure our students exhibit their histrionic talents

Right exposures…..experiences We are aware that extensive exposure is what right education is all about. Our students get a lot of exposure to the world around and their learning is not confined to classroom interaction.

Academic Excellence Over the years, the school has been experimenting and innovating, always to ensure the students are not deprived of the Excellence in Education. As a result, almost every fourth individual Narangi, is an alumnus of the KV, not to mention the number that have moved to different parts of the globe

The Alumni Probably one among the largest group of scattered alumni are being brought under one umbrella. The alumni who are in East and West of India and the world do have their bond with the school and make us proud and stand tall.

New horizons The school within a period of 3 years will be having all the facilities, processes and products to be the torchbearer of the North-eastern Kendriya Vidyalayas.
