In December, the comparative analysis report said the University ERP compares favorably to vendor ERP products today The strategic plan looked at how well we are positioned for 5-10 years out and what we could work on to improve out University ERP

The University ERP Reinvestment Strategy What this means to you and/or the University More effort on enterprise-level needs than before Efforts towards documenting business processes including dependencies. Alignment of enterprise projects and initiatives with strategic plan. Deliberate and planned move from 3270 to the web starting with services used by Faculty, administrators and infrequent users. Focus on providing more consistent and centrally coordinated end user support – training, help etc. Focus on providing more and better reporting Planning, Planning and more PLANNING!

The University ERP Reinvestment Strategy Questions you might ask Who will be making decisions as to which projects take priority and are undertaken? Part of the planning process will include the establishment of an appropriate governance structure that will include the existing operational steering committee, a newly established executive sponsor group and possibly other advisory groups.

The University ERP Reinvestment Strategy Questions you might ask Will I be involved in this project? Depending on what your job is, you may be! The project will most likely be staffed on a project-by- project basis as priorities are set. There will be business experts, IT professionals, end user support professionals and others involved throughout the life of the project.
