School Security System

3 Versions of the Panic Button NecklaceUnder Desk or Wall Mount

How it Works Press it once, and an alert goes to Administration to inform them of a possible accidental press, and to confirm such. The button is now in “Emergency Mode” and must be reset by the administration. A message pops up on the Administrator’s screen to show the room location and other pertinent information. The affected area (room) gets displayed as a yellow alert.

2 nd Button Press Press it twice without it being reset by administration, and an alert text message is sent out to the mailing list created by the school as part of setup. The button is now in “Alert 1” mode and must be reset by the administration. A message pops up on the Administrator’s screen to show the room location and other pertinent information. The affected area (room) gets displayed as a ORANGE alert.

3 rd Button Press Press it a third time without it being reset by administration, and an alert text message is sent out to the mailing list created by the school as part of setup. The button is now in “Alert 2” mode. An alarm gets sounded within the affected area that is high pitched and loud, intended to motivate all within the area to cover their ears and burrow their chin into their chest. The affected area (room) gets displayed as a RED alert.

4 th Button Press Press it a fourth time without it being reset by administration, and an alert text message is sent out to the mailing list created by the school as part of setup. The button is now in “Alert 3” mode. Within the hallways throughout the entire school, alarms are sounded to indicate a school wide evacuation. The more high pitched and loud alarm continues to sound at the location of origin. The affected area (room) gets displayed as a RED alert.

Security Verifications Every minute a ping is sent from the host device located within the school at a secured location. The ping is registered on our secured servers.

Ping Reports The school administration receives reports of every ping. If a ping is missed, it will display the missed time slot as Bold Red with yellow highlight.

Basic Setup for A School

1.We obtain a floor plan for each school. 2.We define the rooms as a defined area on the floor plan map. 3.When a room is clicked, a pop-up frame displays the information about the panic buttons and alarms associated with the room.

Setting up the Devices Panic Buttons are easily assigned to a room through drop-down menus and a selection grid similar to an Excel spreadsheet. Click the [Location] icon to view a map and description of the room.

Setting up the Alarms We setup each alarm to be associated with the room it is located.

Creating and Saving Alerts

Setting up the Text Alerts Sent When a Panic Button is Pressed The school first sets up the text message that will be sent as an alert. Unlimited amount of different messages can be created and saved. The school sets up each Panic Button individually to send whatever message is desired to be associate d with it. All Text Alerts are sent with the standard information of room number and the count of times the button was pressed. If a text message is set up to be: “ALERT! Assistance is needed immediately.” for a Panic Button in room # 104 when the button has ben pressed twice, then the following message will be sent to the designated recipients: ROOM: 104 Pressed Count: 2 ALERT! Assistance is needed immediately.

Creating List of Recipients

Point and click to easily add names. People are separated into logical groupings and students by their grade. One click append of an existing list to your new list to enable larger lists easy to be created.

Customize Each Panic Button

Assign to each button and each press count the message to be sent and the list of recipients to receive it.

Establish the profiles for all people in the school

Example of Teacher Profile:

Establish the profiles for all parents also (if desired)

Manage Your Personal Profile:

Teachers manage the students in their class periods

Teachers can send “friendly” messages to students:

Example: Midterm exam is tomorrow. Bring your calculators.

And can review history of messages sent:

All Emergency Panic Button presses are stored and require comments to be placed with them to explain the event.
