What is an animation flipbook Animation Act of animating, derived from the Latin word Animatus which means to give life to. Flipbook Also known as “flick” book is a book with series of images that create the illusion of motion when the pages of the book are rapidly flipped. Animation flipbook Book of series of images that appear to animate (have life) by simulating motion or some changes.

Cool flipbook examples Music flipbook Crafty 2D flipbook animation Matrix style flipbook

Creating a flipbook 1. Do some rough sketches for ideas of what you’d like animate 2. Create a storyboard. Start with the first and last frames and fill in the middle. 3. Work only on the lower half of the page because of visibility during flipping. 4. Start on the last page. Animation goes from back to front. 5. Animation should move in very small amounts for better animation. 6. Have fun and be creative!
