Project Opportunity

Student Requirements Attend Fall and Spring meetings with parent Submit recent photograph SAT score of 1000 or ACT score of 18 Submit copy of parent’s 2014 Income Tax Return Turn in FAFSA Student Aid Report TSI placement test Drug test at Weatherford Regional Hospital Thank you letter to Directors

Drug Test Students need to pass a drug test at Weatherford Regional Hospital which is given April A parent must accompany students that are under 18. Students will need their Driver’s License with a picture ID and their Social Security Number. The outpatient lab is open from 8 – 5. There is no cost to the student.

FAFSA Go to and click on Start Here. Have parent’s 2014 Income Tax Return available. Obtain a pin number for the student and for the parent. Submit the FAFSA and print the Student Aid Report for Project Opportunity.

Weatherford College Admissions and Exemptions SAT score of at least 1070 and at least 500 on critical reading and math ACT score of at least 23 and at least 19 on English and math TSI Math score – 350 TSI Reading score – 351 TSI Writing score – 4 on essay with Reading score of 363 or 5 on essay

Project Opportunity Luncheon A luncheon will be held May 19 at Weatherford College for Project Opportunity students who have met the above requirements. Students will travel in a school bus to the luncheon and back. Parents need to sign the bus permission form. Boys must wear slacks and collared shirts. Girls must wear skirts or dresses – no jeans. Students will be notified of their Project Opportunity award in June.

Expectations in College Students must register for EDUC 1200 or EDUC 1300, “Learning Frameworks” their first semester at Weatherford College. Students will be assigned to an adviser during their first semester who will help monitor their academic success. Students must have a 2.0 GPA on 12 hours (4 courses) at Weatherford College each semester to continue receiving scholarship money.

Thank You Note Each student will need to write a thank you note to the Project Opportunity Foundation Directors. The note will be included with their paperwork and read to the Directors. Please bring the note to Ms. Hartnett before the end of the semester.
