THE STAGES OF GRIEF AS SEEN IN THE STORY OF LAZARUS: (1) Grief can happen when the unexpected is experienced; Lazarus was sick, but he eventually died. (vs.1-4) (2)Grief happens at the shock of the reality; “Lazarus is dead” (vs.5,6) (3) Grief happens when we misunderstand reality; we don’t think in spiritual terms. (vs.11-14)

THE STAGES OF GRIEF AS SEEN IN THE STORY OF LAZARUS: (4) Grieving is sharing someone else’s loss: (vs.15-19) (5) Grieving happens when GOD DOES NOT MAKE SENSE! “If you had been here” (vs.20,21) (6) God brings people when we need them the most: (vs.22-29)
