The Five Stages are tools to help us frame and identify what we may be feeling. Each stage is different for everyone. For an individual experience grief, the stages do not always happen in exact order, may revert before moving forward. There are many ways people who are grieving can help themselves: Attending support groups Therapy with a psychologist or other licensed mental health professional Journaling Eating Well Exercising Getting enough rest Antidepressants The Five Stages of Grief is an important resource for mental health professionals to support clients who are coping with grief and loss.
