What is Lying? Lying: to give false information to adults, family & friends.

Common Confusion with Lying Being able to get away with it Thinking little lies are okay Lying to make someone feel better Can you think of any examples?

Here is one we thought of… “Charlie Brown make sure you do your homework before you go out and play!!!!!!!”

“Good grief there is no way I’m going to get all this homework done before dark!!! There won’t be any time to play. Good Grief what can I do”

I Got it! I’ll tell her I did it and do it later. “Mom I just finished all my homework I’m going outside”

Man this is great, I actually have time to play ball.

Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea I feel bad that I lied, and I still don’t have my homework done.

Auggghhh! What should I do? If I tell Mom she’ll be mad that I lied. If I don’t tell her she’ll probably find out anyway and then get even more mad. I guess I have to tell her.

“Hey mom today I really didn’t do my homework I just went out side to play.”

“Well Snoopy I think we learned a valuable lesson today. Lying is wrong and is not okay in any circumstances.”
