Lamentations 3:25  The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him.  

Lamentations 3:22-24  Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.  They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.  “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!”  

Lamentations 3:25-26 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him.   It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the Lord.  

Great is Thy Faithfulness Strength for today Bright hope for tomorrow

I. Strength for today

Isaiah 40:1,8 “Comfort, yes, comfort My people. ” Says your God Isaiah 40:1,8 “Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” Says your God. The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.”

Behold! Vs. 9 “Behold your God!” Vs. 10 “Behold the Lord God!” Vs. 10 “Behold His reward is with Him” Vs. 15 “Behold the nations are as a drop in a bucket” Vs. 15 “Look! He lifts the isles as a very little thing” Vs. 26 “Lift up your eyes”

Isaiah 40 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, Measured heaven with a span And calculated the dust of the earth in a measure? Weighed the mountains in scales And the hills in a balance?  

Isaiah 40:29 Why do you say, O Jacob, And speak, O Israel: “My way is hidden from the Lord, And my just claim is passed over by my God”?  

D. Renewed strength

Isaiah 40:28 Have you not known. Have you not heard Isaiah 40:28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.  

Isaiah 40:29 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.  

Isaiah 40:30-31 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint  

II. Leanness of the soul

Psalm 106:13-15 They soon forgot His works; They did not wait for His counsel, But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, And tested God in the desert. And He gave them their request, But sent leanness into their soul
