Gerunds

Gerunds Gerunds take the place of a noun. They can be 1. Subjects: e.g. Eating fast food is convenient. 2. Objects after certain verbs: e.g. They recommended reducing fats in food. e.g. She remembered getting some fruit.

Gerunds 3. After prepositions: e.g. We’re tired of reading calorie counts for fast foods. 4. After possessive adjectives: e.g. I dislike John’s eating fast food. They stamp a card that validates their leaving the country.
