Striking facts  Every third person is aged years  Women constitute ~ 83% of senior pensioners  14.1 % are over the age of 80 years  2050 the number of elderly will increase 2.5 times  The average pension is 1,087 Lei (~ 55 Euro)  The minimum consumer goods basket reaches 1,668 Lei (~ 85 Euro)  About 82 % receive a pension under 1,300 Lei (~ 65 Euro)

Living conditions Urban Rural 99,9% electricity 92,2% water supply installations 73,0% have water closet within the dwelling 79,8% use natural gas 88,1% sewerage 77,1% have bathroom or shower 53,5% central or autonomic heating 99,9% electricity 50,2% water supply installations 9,7% have water closet (mostly outside the dwelling) 70,7% use gas cylinder 33,3% sewerage 11,6% bathroom or shower 0% central heating
