It was the first day of 4th grade for me. I was very nervous and was hoping that my mom would let me stay home today. “Alana! Come down for breakfast. Hurry or you’ll be late for school!” So much for sleeping. So I got up and started to get ready for school.

“Mmmmmmm! This looks great mom, thanks!” I said. For Breakfast, I had bacon, eggs, toast, and a big tall glass of orange juice. “Now Alana, remember what I told you about school. Raise your hand when you want to be called on, be respectful to the teacher, and leave your imaginary friend at home. Do understand?” I never went anywhere with out my friend Jake. He gets me through the day. I just had one thing to say about this….

“Oh Ok. I won’t bring Jake, but he will never forgive for this.” I said. “ Your in the 4 th grade. You should give him up. I think your ready for that.” mom said. I hate to admit it but I think she’s right. So I went to school without Jake. I was happy to start school after this morning. At least I’ll get to see my friends again. I spend the whole day roller skating in gym, learning in class, and having a blast.

I just got home from a great first day of school. I just got home and my mom was fixing a snack for me. “Hi Mom!” “Hi dear.” “Need Help with the snack?” “Actually, yes. I forgot the fruit drink in the closet can you get me that please.” “Ok.” I went to the closet and I see something really tall and pink. It looked like panther. “Here you go little girl.” I screamed and went to go tell mom. “Mom, there’s a pink panther in the closet! Come see, QUICK!” She opened the closet, but, there was nothing in here. “What are you talking about Alana I don’t see anything.

“Just stay in this corner until you stop telling tales. There is no such thing as a Pink Panther. I thought I told you that you are too old to have imaginary friends. Just stay here until I say you can come out.” mom exclaimed.

I took another look in the closet just to see if anything was in there. I tip toed to the closet, and I took just a peak inside, no one was there. I opened the door a little more, still no one was there. Was this just my imagination? He was just here! I know he was here. I turned my back for a second and then something made a thud sound. I turn around and a big pink ball was on the floor. Then it started to get taller. I was right! It was the Pink Panther! I knew I was right! “Hi Alana. It’s nice to meet you. The names Pink Panther, but you can call me Panther if you want. It looks like you could us some fun in your life. Why don’t we play in here for a while.” he said. “Ummmm, ok, but, what’s there to do in here. Its too small.” I told him.

Then the room turn in to a big amusement park! So many rides, so much food, so many games to play. This is going to be fun. We went on all the rides (threw up a few times), had funnel cakes, played games like ring toss (got a big stuffed tiger when I won), and even got to meet Shrek. It was so much fun, I never want to leave.
