Jesus is the Son of David 2 Samuel 7: "When your days are complete and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up your descendant after you, (Solomon) who will come forth from you, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 "He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. 14 "I will be a father to him and he will be a son to Me; when he commits iniquity, I will correct him with the rod of men and the strokes of the sons of men, 15 but My lovingkindness shall not depart from him, as I took it away from Saul, whom I removed from before you. 16 "Your house and your kingdom shall endure before Me forever; your throne shall be established forever."'"
Jesus is the Son of David Matthew 9:27 Matthew 9:27 As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out, "Have mercy on us, Son of David! “ 2 Timothy 2:8 2 Timothy 2:8 Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, descendant of David, according to my gospel, Revelation 22:16 Revelation 22:16 " I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star."
Jesus is the Son of God Mark 2:5-7 Mark 2:5-7 And Jesus seeing their faith said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.“ But some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, "Why does this man speak that way? He is blaspheming; who can forgive sins but God alone?" Hebrews 1:5, 8 For to which of the angels did He ever say, "YOU ARE MY SON, TODAY I HAVE BEGOTTEN YOU“? And again, "I WILL BE A FATHER TO HIM AND HE SHALL BE A SON TO ME"?... 8 But of the Son He says, "YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER,AND THE RIGHTEOUS SCEPTER IS THE SCEPTER OF HIS KINGDOM.
Jesus is the Son of God Romans 1:3-4 …concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh, who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord,
Giving 2 Corinthians 8:1-5 1 Now, brethren, we wish to make known to you the grace of God which has been given in the churches of Macedonia, 2 that in a great ordeal of affliction their abundance of joy and their deep poverty overflowed in the wealth of their liberality. 3 For I testify that according to their ability, and beyond their ability, they gave of their own accord, 4 begging us with much urging for the favor of participation in the support of the saints, 5 and this, not as we had expected, but they first gave themselves to the Lord and to us by the will of God.
Giving 2 Corinthians 9: Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed; 9 as it is written, “HE SCATTERED ABROAD, HE GAVE TO THE POOR, HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ENDURES FOREVER."
Giving 10 Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; 11 you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God. 12 For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God. 13 Because of the proof given by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedience to your confession of the gospel of Christ and for the liberality of your contribution to them and to all, 14 while they also, by prayer on your behalf, yearn for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you. 15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!
Giving Principles Give even when we have little. Give out of generosity. Give self to God first. Give in a prepared manner. Do not give out of guilt. Give cheerfully. God will meet our needs. God gets the glory (not you).
Jesus Corrections The Christ is not just a man, but the God-man. – Jesus is the Messiah. The religious show is worthless. Knock it off. Devotion is shown in little ways and often not recognized by others. Be truly devoted to Jesus Christ from the heart. Is He YOUR Lord today?
