EILEAN DONAN CASTLE Although the isle is surrounded by the sea, there is a sweet water lake there. It is known that the first people who lived in that area were from the Iron Age

THE BUILIDING It’s known that the castle was first built in the 18th century During two centuries it was in ruins The Lieutenant Colonel John MacRae-Gilstrap y Farquhar MacRae, decided to rebuild it at the beginning of the 20th century.

It has been celebrated since 1950, when the British Army decided to contribute to the famous Edimburgh Festival of August. Each year the music bands of the Armies from different countries make a parade outside the Edimburh Castle

ROYAL MILE The Royal Mile ( Milla Real ) is formed by the four old streets which joined the Edimburgh Castle and the Holyroodhouse Palace during the Middle Age

OLYMPIC CITY When I was there it was the month of the Olympic Games.

EDIMBURGH FESTIVAL It’s celebrated every year in August, from the 6th to the 28th. Many people play theatre in the street. There are also many plays in pubs…
