RESEARCH LITE PART #2: OPINION KUCZEK-GHS-ENGLISH II 2012

BASIC IDEA You will go through a newspaper, either online or hard copy, and find an opinion or editorial article. You will attach the article to your final copy. Read the paper Using the sentence stems below, write a 3-5 sentence paragraph.

OUTLINE In Author name’s article “Title of Article” Author’s Last Name discusses subject of article. Author’s Last Name believes quote that shows the author’s stance on the subject. Author’s Last Name is correct/wrong your reason why they are correct or wrong.

MLA DOCUMENTATION REVIEW Author’s Last Name, First Name. “Article Title.” Newspaper (City Published) Date Published. Edition page #. Web. Html.

EXAMPLE In Aaron David Miller’s article “Two Candidates, One Foreign Policy” Miller discusses the foreign policy of both presidential candidates. Miller believes that “Just as Barack Obama morphed into a less ideological and reckless version of George W. Bush (see: surge in Afghanistan, keeping Guantánamo open, predator drones), Mitt Romney’s performance indicated he’d be a Barack Obama look-alike on key foreign policy issues.” Miller is correct in his analysis on a basic level. Both candidates seem to agree on many major foreign policy issues. Miller, Aaron David. "Two Candidates, One Foreign Policy." New York Times [New York] , Global Edition C2. Web. 1 Nov
