Data Providers Services Provider

Taiwan Monitoring Network (TMN) Components Taiwan Rainfall Data –OGC SOS 2.0 service / WaterML 2.0 time series (52North codebase) –CUAHSI WaterOneFlow (WOF) service / WaterML 1.1 (CUAHSI HydroServer Lite) TMN Catalogue –Registry of data services (CNR GI-cat) –Harvests rainfall monitors in near real time TMN Gauge Map –OGC WFS feature map of gauge locations –Each gauge location provides access to SOS and WOF data services

Database Sync & Mobile Platform OGC GeoSync and GeoPackage developed for OGC Web Service Testbeds 8 & 9 ( ) –GeoSync enables update of master database from field data collection –GeoPackage lets mobile device store geodata with SQL-Lite

Emergency Rescue Scenario During and after a typhoon invasion in Taiwan: The rescue analyser can get monitoring data through Taiwan Monitoring Network (TMN). Onsite rescue team can use App with GeoSync, GeoPackages, and GeoSMS to query, collect and report environment info and rescue progress. Researchers and public can discover and access TMN from GEOSS Portal to learn about historical and current environmental conditions

Use GeoPackage and follow corresponding standards to exchange the site investigation data with flood monitoring systems. Flood Monitoring Systems GeoPackage and TMN

Next Steps The TMN catalog is in process of being registered in GEOSS We will expand the TMN gauge maps and data services to publish additional water resources data –Stream flow (OGC SOS / WaterML 2) –Stream depth (OGC SOS / WaterML 2) –Water quality (keep improving) For more info, contact: Chen-Yu Hao,
