GOAL: To improve the accuracy and efficiency of preliminary utility location by employing common CADD software and utility-specific tools to create electronic plan mark-ups.

Traditional Process: Conduct topographic survey Designer produces plan sheets with topo survey and 30% design Mailed to UAO with request for mark-up UAO marks up plan sheet with colored pencil using UOA drafting standard UAO returns hardcopy plans to designer Designer transfers hardcopy information into CADD file Designer produces hardcopy and sends to UAO for verification
