When the Bible uses gentleness it signifies, “the power given by the Spirit of God that harnesses the strong
and explosive might of one’s passions to serve both men and God with effectiveness.”

Jesus is our best example.
Ephesians 4:2 encourages us to live a life worthy of our calling from Jesus. gentleness
Colossians 3:12 encourages us to clothe ourselves with several character traits that are from our new nature. gentleness
2 Timothy 2:25 Paul instructs the younger pastor that he must GENTLY instruct those who oppose him in the hope that God will give them a change of heart.
Gentleness is the opposite of a rhino
William Barclay teaches 3 characteristics of gentleness: -submission to God’s will -teachableness -consideration of others
Gentleness includes:
Gentleness includes having our mind so set on God’s purposes that we offer unrelenting resistance to evil and yet act with gentleness when evil people attack us.
Gentleness includes feeling deeply the wrong done against us, but our gentleness from the Holy Spirit does not allow us to seek to get even.
Proverbs 15:1 “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”
Gentleness includes correcting others when they are hurting the cause of Christ.
Gentleness includes being polite, having tact and treating everyone with dignity and respect.
Gentleness includes helping those who have fallen to be restored.
Galatians 6:1 “If someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently.”
