1. What is an archeologist?

An archeologist is a person who specializes in the study of things from long ago.

What does an anthropologist do for a living?

An anthropologist studies the everyday lives of human beings, or people.

What is an artifact?

An artifact is a simple, everyday object that was made by humans. Some examples are tools, pottery, and clothing.

“Paleo” means…

Paleo means very old.

What made prehistoric animals come to Kentucky?

They came to escape the polar ice caps and to find food.

Why did prehistoric people come to Kentucky?

They followed the animals for food.

Explain how the Paleo Indians lived.

They lived in small groups and hunted with spears.

What did Paleo Indians use for clothes? Hint, hint…They had animal magnetism. Some of them probably looked “foxy”!
