A Typical Outdoor Lab Day at Windy Peak  Rise and shine at 7:00am  Flag ceremony 7:45  Breakfast 8:00  Morning class 9:30  Lunch 11:30  Cabin time 12:30-2:30  Afternoon Class 2:45  Dinner 5:00  Cabin Time 6:00-7:30  Night Program 8:00  Lights Out 9:45

Core Class Options  Ecology  Stalking the Giants  Pond Studies  Archery/First Aide  Pioneer Studies  Beaver Trail

Ecology  While taking Ecology you take a hike around the grounds at Windy Peak. You stop to look and study the nature and the animals. You learn many important aspects of the food chain, and the surrounding area.

Stalking the Giants  In this class you learn about the dominate tree in the area, the ponderosa pine. You will be informed of the history of the tree in Colorado and how it is an amazing source of everyday resources. You will also learn how to differ between the different types of trees in the area.

Pond Studies  This course takes you down to Windy Peaks very own pond. You get to see the life that depends off of it, and take a sample back to the lab and test to see what is living in it.

Archery/First Aide  This is without a doubt one of the most popular classes up at Windy Peak. You learn how to shot a bow and arrow, as well as, learning how to help someone in an emergency.

Beaver Trail  This class is reserved for a group of kids recommended by their teachers. You get to wonder off the grounds of Windy Peak and learn about the popular Beaver population in the area.

Pioneer Studies  This class is a personal favorite and appeals to anyone who enjoys history. In this class you learn the history of Windy Peak, and the surrounding area, including a trip to the family grave yard of the first people to own Windy Peak.

Elective Classes  These are the classes you take in the afternoon.  These class are picked strictly by the students and what they want to do.  Some of the possibilities are:  Tracking  Drama  Drawing and Painting  Photography  Along with many more fun oppurtunities

Evening Programs  There are a mixture of programs at Windy Peak, some of the many are:  The Mountain Man  Astronomy  The animal lady  And Bob, the singing frog man!

The Experience of a Life Time  This is a memory that will never be forgotten. Be sure that you are able to participate in this amazing program by staying out of trouble, and raising the money.
