With decaying fiscal resources for interventions, Primetime has become a critical to meeting the needs of our targeted students. Prime Time is now viewed and treated as an extension of the school day, an integral part of the school plan for leaving Program Improvement.

Collaborative Decision of Administrative Support Team: Prime Time would focus on both Language Arts and Mathematics instruction during the academic hour in the school year.

Step 4 (continued) Academic Hour of Regular Prime Time (Tutor Training) Tutors are trained to deliver 15 to 20 minute curriculum lesson using direct instruction, guided instruction, and partner work/independent practice model. At Central Middle School, all 7 th and 8 th grade students have a netbook. During the 45 minute Homework help time, tutors have been trained on how to check the Aries grade book for each student. Tutors can check for missing or incomplete assignments in regular day classes.

Once enrolled into Prime Time, targeted students are placed into “specialized “ Prime Time Math or ELA classes with a tutor or a time carded aide leading instruction for a full hour of supplemental instruction in ELA or Mathematics.
