Presentation transcript:

Open valve 1 so that the flow is from the reservoir to the pump head. Close Valve 4 so flow is stopped. Make sure Valve 2 is open to vent air displaced by initial flow. Turn On Pump. When Bubble Trap is 2/3 full close valve 2. Priming the System Close Valve 3 so flow is stopped

Open Valve 4 so that flow is passed through the atrial cannula. Set Valve 8 so that flow is directed to drain.

Change Valve 4 so that flow is Directed up to the aortic bubble trap.. Open Valve 5 to allow air to vent. Close valve 6. Close Valve 7 so that the aortic bubble trap can fill.

When bubble trap is 2/3 full, close vent valve 5. Open valve 7 and let flow pass through the aortic cannula and out to waste.

Close valve 7 Open valve 6 so the flow is directed to the oxygenating chamber Once the line is primed change valve 6 to direct the flow back to the reservoir. Close valve 6

Close valve 4 Open valve 3 so the flow is directed to the oxygenating chamber Once the line is primed change valve 3 to direct the flow back to the reservoir. Close valve 3 Turn off pump
