Where are Earthquakes most common? Earthquakes are most common along the oceanic and continental plate Earthquakes are most common along the oceanic and continental plate

Oceanic and continental plates

How is the power of an Earthquake measured? Power is measured using the Richter scale which gives you a number between 0 and 10. As the scale gets nearer to 10 the power goes up intensely.

The Richter Chart showing the power

What precautions do people take ?  Improve your homes resilience.  Get communication devices (e.g. walkie talkie)  Have a radio to listen to the news  Have food and water supplies  Pack a torch and emergency lighting (e.g. candles)  Inform relatives and neighbours there could be an Earthquake.

Precaution items

Thanks For Listening !!!
