J.R.R Tolkien In 1892 John Ronald Reuel Tolkien was born in Bloemfontien, Orange Free State, South Africa.

In 1915 J.R.R Tolkien served in World War I as a second lieutenant with the Lancashire Fusiliers. I think a good author is one that serves his country and is willing to do that and was not forced.

The Hobbit In his newest novel The Hobbit (LEFT) in 1937 J.R.R Tolkien released September 21. The Hobbit sells out by Christmas. He also starts to write The Lord Of The Rings.

In J.R.R Tolkien released the three Lord Of The Rings novels.

1916 In 1916 Tolkien marries Edith Bratt and leaves for France where he fought in 1916 a battle called Somme Stricken. He got a bad fever 5 months later and returned home.

1973 In 1973 Tolkien dies at age 81. At that time his last novels are published. They were the 12 volumes of middle earth and The Silmarillion.

I think that Tolkien had a good life. I have read 3 of his books and loved them all. He is one of my favorite authors. Tolkien had a very good attitude and I look up to it.
