St. Paul’s Persecution After St. Paul preached to the gentiles. He decided to return to Jerusalem. Many people warned him that he will be persecuted by the Jews over there.
St. Paul’s Persecution St. Paul was not afraid of persecution, prison or even death for Jesus Christ’s name. he left for Jerusalem. When he entered the temple and people recognize him, they started shouting and gathering around him and many started to beat him.
The roman guards took him to their camp and started whipping him. Then the Roman prince, who knew about a conspiracy by the Jews to kill St. Paul, sent him to the governor to decide what to do. St. Paul’s Persecution
The governor wanted to give St. Paul to the Jews because he was afraid of them. But, St. Paul shouted that he, as a roman citizen, wants to present his case in front of Augustus Caesar. While they were sailing towards Rome, there was a big storm and everyone became afraid. St. Paul had faith in God and did not fear. He even encouraged everyone in the ship and assured them that God will deliver them all. In the ship to Rome
The ship came very close to an island and all of them swam to the shore and they were all safe. When they arrived to the island shore, its people were very nice and gave them food and shelter. At the island
No harm from a serpent’s bite St. Paul was gathering a bundle of sticks for the fire, a serpent bit him in his hand but he shook it off and felt no harm. The barbarians thought he would die but later on thought that he was a God because nothing harmed him.
God protected St. Paul through all these persecutions. He brought him safely to this island then to Rome where he testified in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ there at the Capital of the world at that time.
