Disciples Bear Fruit Jn. 15:1-11

Israel Was God’s Vine “For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah are His pleasant plant. He looked for justice, but behold, oppression; For righteousness, but behold weeping” (Is. 5:7). “For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah are His pleasant plant. He looked for justice, but behold, oppression; For righteousness, but behold weeping” (Is. 5:7). “Yet I had planted you a noble vine, a seed of highest quality. How then have you turned before Me into the degenerate plant of an alien vine?” (Jer. 2:21). “Yet I had planted you a noble vine, a seed of highest quality. How then have you turned before Me into the degenerate plant of an alien vine?” (Jer. 2:21).

God Blessed Israel “What more could have been done to My vineyard that I have not done in it? Why then, when I expected it to bring forth good grapes, did it bring forth wild grapes?” (Is. 5:4). “What more could have been done to My vineyard that I have not done in it? The Branches Are not: denominations, nor churches of Christ – but individual believers (vs. 5,6). Are not: denominations, nor churches of Christ – but individual believers (vs. 5,6). The Fruit Not: becoming a Christian (Jn. 12:23,24 the dying process, Rom. 6:3-8); just attending and studying (that’s feed time, nor fruit-bearing), nor just living a good life. Conclusion As branches in the vine – we have the privilege of fellowship with Christ and the responsibility of bearing fruit.
