6 COMMUNITY FORUM FEEDBACK  The majority of staff and parents in attendance are pleased with the boundary as presented.  Concerns were expressed by a number of parents and staff regarding transportation for Needham students over the railroad tracks, especially for the younger students. Parents request that transportation continue to Needham School in  Consideration was given to the area around Needham School that currently attends Nichols School. Affect on the size of Nichols School, time to seek Nichols parent input, and program improvement choice, provide roadblocks to exploring this option at this time.  Parents were pleased to learn staff hopes to provide some space for 6 th grade students to complete their elementary years at Needham.

7 RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends the Board approve the proposed attendance boundaries as presented for Heritage and Needham Elementary Schools for implementation in the school year at the April 20, 2010 Board of Education meeting.
