And the Nominees are…

Nanci is a first impression of our school. Whether it is in person or on the phone, she is always positive and willing to help out. She works incredibly hard and goes above and beyond. It is time that her love of all things SAE is recognized! "Nanci is a humble and quiet worker. She represents all that is professional. Nanci is dependable, always on time, rarely absent, and never complains. She is responsible for so many daily tasks and performs them effortlessly. Nanci is always kind to victors and firm when she needs to be. The children's safety is foremost on her mind. Nanci deserves the recognition of being nominated for employee of the year."

Laura Routt has a gift for working with special education students. Her warm and welcoming personality and commitment to her job are evident daily. Students adore her and she is always willing to lend a helping hand wherever she is needed most. Laura is VERY deserving of this honor! Laura is available to do anything and everything asked of her with a big smile on her face. She displays a professional attitude in everything she does and she is a caring and supportive assistant. Laura loves to help all children and always makes an extra effort to make them feel successful.

Mrs. Tobey is so loving and caring toward her students. She makes special bonds with the students and they love her too. This has been a year of moving and changing for Mrs. Tobey but she has changed rooms and roles without complaint and always with a smile. I know my own child loves Mrs. Tobey and she makes him feel special too. Lorraine always approaches each task with professionalism and flexibility. She shows empathy for the students she works with, and is always willing to do whatever is asked of her.

Lynn Watson is incredible. Not only has she taken on the job of being the computer lab teacher so that teachers can have planning time and students can have structured technology instruction, but she also helps in the classroom and with lunch duty. In a blended math class, Lynn assists in teaching 4th and 5th grade weekly without missing a beat. She will do anything and everything asked with a smile on her face. Lynn is truly an asset to me and to our school! Lynn has taken every job she has been handed at SAE and has gone above and beyond at meeting and exceeding the expected goals. Her biggest accomplishments this year relate to WOLF-TV and the First Grade Computer Lab. With very little direction, Lynn has taken on these major tasks and made them her own.

Joan is such a dedicated worker. Not only is she dedicated, but she does her work with a smile. In my eight years of working with her, she has always been prompt with getting back to me and helping me in the many ways I've needed it. Joan has a difficult job that I think gets overlooked at times. She always has a positive attitude and a willingness to help teachers. She is gracious when we make mistakes and need things reprinted (some times multiple times). She is often the first impression that new parents and students have of Sweet Apple and she does a great job of making them feel welcome!
