Stewart Elementary “Marathon Kids” Sponsor, Terry Uhlman, Physical Education Instructor Stewart’s “Marathon Kids” walked the final mile lap at Barnett Stadium, Houston, Texas in the “Marathon Kids Final Mile Celebration” on April 25, This was the fourth year celebration for Stewart’s “Marathon Kids” The school was presented with a “Marathon Kids” garden sign for the Kinder C. A. R. E. Club garden. Stewart’s “Marathon Kids” are committed to walking 30 miles in the school year and eating five servings of fruits and vegetable a day! Corporate Sponsors

Marathon Kids Mission Marathon Kids is a twelve year old nationally recognized program, copyright trademark, incremental school- based fitness program. It is a free endurance building, running, walking, nutrition, gardening program for kindergarten through fifth grade. The mission is to build community around children and be quickly accepted into public, private and home schools as a free innovative celebratory fitness and nutrition program. Resonating with the child and the child's family. The goal is for the child to develop the habit of moving though space and to carry forward the power, muscular, nutritional and psychological well being for the child.
