WHO WE ARE: The Tahirih Justice Center is a national, non-profit organization that protects courageous immigrant women and girls who refuse to be victims of violence. We elevate their voices in communities, courts, and Congress to create a world where women and girls enjoy equality and live in safety and with dignity.

THE NEED  1 of 3 women globally are victims of abuse. Every year:  82 million girls forced into marriage  30 million are genitally mutilated  Between 600, ,000 are forced into modern-day slavery  Between 5,000-20,000 are murdered for “dishonoring” their families
