 It’s a visitor’s attraction in Cornwall in the United Kingdom.  It’s a big complex with different environments.  It consists over a thousand plant species.  The main two houses there are domes. In one dome there is a mediterranean environment, in the second one there is a tropical environment.

 The project was launched by Tim Smit.  It was designed by architect Nicholas Grimshaw.  The project took two and a half years to construct.  It was opened on the 17th of March, 2001.

 It’s 35 metres high, 65 metres wide and 135 metres long.  It houses warm temperate plants such as olives and grape vines, but there are also some sculptures inside the dome.

 It’s 55 metres high, 100 metres wide and 200 metres long.  It is used for tropical plants such as banana trees, coffe, bamboo.  It is kept at moisture level.

 This terrain is not covered.  There are plants such as sunflowers, tea and lavender.  There are also many sculptures.
