Fully volunteer-based Number of mentees accepted is dictated by number of mentors
Program will encourage the use of institutional resources and programs ◦ Freshmen tutoring program ◦ Undergraduate research ◦ Intern/Co-op ◦ Study abroad
Match a freshman/ sophomore with a PTS member for mentorship Opening social, two other meetings, possibly closing social Provide guidance
Assess interest in program Interview mentors Create selection process for mentees (First come, first serve?) Advertise Form evaluation standard to reassess program at end of year
Interview mentors/ mentees Have welcome social Require students to meet with mentees at least two* other times during the semester Provide support to mentees End of semester evaluation and improvement meetings
Create concrete application process Set up matching program for mentees/mentors so pair have similar interests Provide training course each semester Add more programs (stress reduction, student panels,….)
Start with ten mentors* At most thirty mentees* Look into funding for preceding semesters
