Research and Enterprise Graduate Business Partnerships  An overview  The benefits of engaging  How it works  Case study: Plymouth City Council

Research and Enterprise  Project based  Graduate level placement, usually around 20 weeks  Covers South-West region – businesses and organisations  Gain access to a pool of highly talented graduates for projects you might not have the time or expertise to undertake – an extended interview opportunity  Low cost recruitment option Overview and benefits

Research and Enterprise  Identify your project area Examples include: systems development, marketing, environmental issues, website development and process improvements  The UoP will help scope out the person specification and will lead the recruitment campaign (a one off fee of £300+VAT will be charged upon success)  You can select from CVs who you wish to interview and appoint  You employ the graduate on your terms and conditions – minimum £300 a week  Access to graduate level training How it works

Research and Enterprise A case study  GBP PROJECT AIM: To analyse options for improving trade waste management methods  OUTCOMES: Better understanding of costs and benefits Increased trade waste recycling levels by providing incentives Establishment of a recycling scheme in schools “GBP is rewarding for both employer and graduate. The recruitment of a highly qualified individual has resulted in a significant contribution within the work place, particularly through the progress of key projects. The placement has also given an opportunity to show that public finance can be equally challenging as anything in the commercial sector, with a range of services issues that can provide for an interesting career.” Toby Joseph, Senior Accountant, Plymouth City Council
