Strategic Outcome1 To maximise the students learning opportunities and experience. Five-year aim: To provide students with PBL problems which compliment and are integrated with the ADPP curriculum, learning objectives and outcomes. The problems will be based on actual policing incidents that have occurred in order to maximise learning opportunities. Strategic Outcome2 To enhance the transposition of students’ learning to the work environment. Five year aim: To enhance students’ skills and abilities in order to enable transition to year two of the ADPP and an effective and appropriate application of their knowledge and learning in the field. Strategic Outcome 3 To provide students with opportunities to develop the desired graduate attributes identified by the University. Five-year aim: To improve the attitudes, awareness, competence and confidence of students. This will engage them in developing and demonstrating skills that are located towards the higher end of Bloom’s Taxonomy Strategic Outcome 4 To effectively enable the organisational change required to achieve the strategic aim. Five year aim: To address cultural issues within the College and raise knowledge, awareness and expertise of the staff regarding facilitation and PBL. The continued professional development of staff will support the change in teaching style and delivery.
