Ultrasound Case: Partial Quadriceps Tendon Rupture Diagnosis: Partial Quadriceps Tendon Rupture. History: None Findings: Patient with acute aspect of knee pain and a palpable defect over the quadriceps tendon. A 3 centimeter defect filled with fluid (*) is present at the site of quadriceps tendon retear, along the lateral margin of the tendon complex. Heterotopic bone (arrows) is present within the tendon substance. F=Intraprod, P=patella. Treatment: Surgery. Slide 1 of 3 Longitudinal sonogram quadriceps tendon: lateral margin
