9 Parents Shield a Child from Mistakes A child's attitude toward parents changes over the years As they age, they will know what parents would say in almost every situation Proverbs 13:1 “ A wise son accepts his father's discipline, But a scoffer does not listen to rebuke. ” Proverbs 15:1,10 “ A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. ” “ Grievous punishment is for him who forsakes the way; He who hates reproof will die. ”
