IB Design Cycle / The Big 6 Investigate  Identify problems and needs.  Collect, select, organize information.  Search for solutions and adapt.  Use appropriate sources. 1. Task Definition  What do I need to do?  What kind of information is needed? What is the format? 2. Information Seeking Strategies  Brainstorm sources and select the best materials.

IB Design Cycle / The Big 6 Planning  Judge, test, & choose resources  Predict outcomes  Communicate logically  Plan & use time wisely 3. Locate & Access  What’s available in all media types? 4. Use of Information  Do I need to listen, read, view, touch, etc. the media?  Should I take notes, copy, use a camera, test, etc.?
