ROLE: The purpose of the Student Equity Committee is to establish and approve the student equity policy campus-wide. Subcommittee of the Planning & Resource Council. MEMBERSHIP STRUCTURE: Chaired by Vice President of Student Development and Instruction. Membership includes appointees from the Academic Senate, Classified Senate, Associated Students of Foothill College, and President’s Cabinet. PRODUCES: Produces the Student Equity Plan. Governance Handbook

ROLE: To establish and approve student equity policy campus-wide through collaboration with other participatory governance groups, including PaRC. Evaluates effectiveness of the core mission by referencing the Educational and Strategic Master Plan (ESMP) and informing planning and resource allocation processes. MEMBERSHIP STRUCTURE: Similar to the Core Mission Workgroups, the Student Equity Workgroup is tri-chaired by a faculty, staff and administrator who are also seated as voting members on the Planning & Resource Council. Membership includes appointees from the Academic Senate, Classified Senate, and Associated Students of Foothill College. The College Researcher, Special Projects Coordinator/President’s office, and Cabinet Member serve in an ex-officio capacity. PRODUCTS: Produces the Student Equity Plan, provides recommendations and promotes initiatives based on issues relating to student diversity and equity. Proposed Structure
