Parent FAF$A Workshop Tue., Jan. 13 th 6:00-7:30pm Hall 1 Lab = how to create your first “I’m on my own!” budget…. How much do you have in a savings or other bank account that is available to use? Do you have any savings bonds that you can cash? How much money do you anticipate saving from high school graduation gifts or other sources this year? How much money after taxes do you anticipate saving from a summer job? How much money will your parents contribute to fund your living expenses after you leave home? How much will you earn from work-study or another part-time job? Are you going to stay covered under your parents' car and health/dental insurance plans, or will you have to get your own insurance(s)?

Senior Year Stressors and Strategies   What’s YOUR current stress level? Journal Entry – Reflection #2 Write 4-5 sentences MINIMUM that generally outlines what major points you want to hit when sharing your thoughts about the “What, then, can I become?” question during your Exit Interview…. Be able to at least talk about the following parts of your High School & Beyond Plan: Your SAVED CAREERS Did they come from your Career Selector or Matchmaker/My Skills results? If not, how did you discover your interest in them? How have your HOBBIES, EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES and CAREER PLANNING ACTIVITIES helped you explore and/or prepare for future career paths of interest?

High School & Beyond Plan TODAY’S TASKS:  Finish any “Who Am I?” tasks still not done (everything on View Details list EXCEPT Post-Secondary Plan and 3 rd Journal entry)  Complete “What, then, can I become?” Journal Entry 2 (4-5 sentences MINIMUM).  Update Education Plan for senior year with classes taking now and plan for 2 nd semester  Investigate at least one other website that applies to your post-high school plan, work on college apps., request a FAFSA PIN #, research scholarships, work on your resume &/OR prep for Exit Interview….
