“DETERMINED DANIEL” Reading: Daniel 6

We need to have the same determination that Daniel had: “Dare to be a Daniel, Dare to stand alone, Dare to have a purpose firm, and Dare to make it known.” “Determined Daniel”

Three things I would like us to look at concerning Daniel: 1. Satan’s Plan - Daniel was Disliked 2. Daniel’s Prayer - Daniel was Diligent 3. God’s Protection - Daniel was Delivered “Determined Daniel”

1. Satan’s Plan - Daniel was Disliked (Vs 6-9) Daniel knew what it was like to stand alone! He was disliked! Vs 3 - “Daniel was preferred above the Presidents and Princes.” Due to his diligence those around him became JEALOUS because of all the attention he was having. “Determined Daniel”

We must not be discouraged when we are shunned by the World: Mark 3:13 - “And you shall be hated of all men for my names sake: But he that shall endure to the end shall be saved.” Luke 6:22 - “Blessed are you, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake.” “Determined Daniel”

So why was Daniel Disliked? 1. Nothing of his own fault. 2. They recognised something different about him. 3. His life showed flaws in their own lives. “Determined Daniel”

2. Daniel’s Prayer - Daniel was Diligent. (Vs 10) We need to show diligence in every area of our lives! We are not living to please ourselves but we are living to please God! Ecclesiastes 9:10 - “Whatsoever you hand finds to do, do it with all your might.” “Determined Daniel”

3. God’s Protection - Daniel was Delivered (Vs 21) The highlight of the whole story is DANIEL’S DELIVERANCE We can know God’s protection and provision like Daniel. “Determined Daniel”

CONCLUSION What is God the deliverer looking for today? Diligence - In all we do! Dedication - To the tasks set before us! Determination - To continue whatever setbacks may come our way! “Determined Daniel”
