Step 1: Using the Classroom Equipment The Crestron panel is the BRAIN of the classroom equipment. 1. Touch the screen to activate the controls 2. Press the Computer button on the top left 3. Press the Desktop option in the middle – this projects the images from the monitor 4. To switch between classroom equipment, press any of the buttons on the left side of the controls. This will switch the image that is projected through the LCD automatically. Use the Crestron any time you want to utilize: * Powerpoint, loading it through & the HUB * Document Camera * Laptop Hookup * Videos * Audio amplification

1. Crestron must be ON to use the document camera 2. The arm can be adjusted 3. The light can be adjusted 4. The object must be on the stage of the document camera 5. The lens must be pointed down on the object 6. To capture the notes in tegrity, you must activate the software - open the shortcut called UF-80 USB Viewer - then, maximize the screen Step 2: The Document Camera: A Wonderful Tool for Visual Learners

Step 3: Starting, Stopping Tegrity Tegrity is the lecture capture software JMLS uses to record lectures * Tegrity must run through the computer. * Tegrity is stored, processed, and made available to your students by tegrity. * Classroom equipment that is handled by users during the day can cause the recording to interrupt, fail, or not start/stop. 1.You must use your JMLS log-on and password to manually activate tegrity 2.If you manually start a tegrity recording, you must manually stop it 3.Academic Technology needs 48 hours notice to schedule your recording if you want us to handle the capture 4.The classroom computer captures the lecture using the eyeball camcorder

Step 4: Utilizing the Hub to Load Power Point & How to Use the Kensington Wireless Presenter All classroom computers have Powerpoint software 1. Bring your presentation on a USB storage device (flashdrive) 2. Plug it into the HUB 3. You will be prompted to open a folder 4. Open the folder and look for the file as you have stored it on your flashdrive 5. Drag the file onto the desktop 6. Click and open up your presentation * the hub is a short cut to the USB ports on the classroom computers * the wireless presenter provides an option for advancing slides away from the keyboard and mouse

Friendly Reminder Turn OFF equipment at the end of lecture 1.Crestron may be in energy saver mode, touch it to wake it up 2.Look at the bottom LEFT corner of the screen for the power down button 3. After confirming shut down, you will see the LCD turn off first 4. If you did use the document camera, you must power it off separately 5. Stop your tegrity recording – if you started one * The other equipment stays on in a power saving mode
